Welcome to the Veritas Maastricht page!

We organize evenings on life’s big questions for the students of Maastricht. We think there is more to life than just acing your studies as quick as possible. With the evenings we organize, we hope to adress a broad range of existential questions that are relevant to our lives by inviting speakers to come and discuss these topics with us.

In the past we have organized two forums:
– May 8, 2018: The cultural suicide of the West. The fundamentals of Western culture and religion’s place in it. With theologian Alain Verheij and Law professor Paul Cliteur
– June 13, 2019: What are you doing here? The good life, the other and you. With theologian Rikko Voorberg and philosopher Marcel Becker

Our upcoming Forum:

June 15, 2022: The Death of God. Science, faith and limitations. With philosopher and computer engineer Dr. Bernardo Kastrup and philosopher and auxiliary Bishop Mgr. Dr. Everard de Jong.
